Scope, exclusions, and what to expect

What this page covers
Hudson Valley Private Nursing (HVPN) is an RN-led private nursing practice operating through an individual New York RN professional practice model, not a licensed home care agency, not a staffing service, and not a multi-clinician practice. HVPN provides hands-on nursing care, by appointment, when clinically appropriate and supported by provider orders where required, in addition to education and care coordination support. This page documents the full scope of that model: what is accepted, what is excluded, and when a different licensed provider is the right call. Our service pages focus on what HVPN offers; this page is the reference for boundaries and exclusions.
Practice model
All services are provided personally by Andreen Robinson, MSN, RN, and are accepted case by case based on clinical fit, RN scope of practice, provider direction where required, patient safety, and availability. Engagements are scheduled by appointment; HVPN does not provide same-day dispatch, on-call nursing, or around-the-clock access.

Referral partner scope
HVPN does not initiate contact with patients through referral partners; the patient or an authorized family member always contacts HVPN directly. HVPN does not pay or accept compensation in exchange for referrals; all referral arrangements are professional courtesy based solely on appropriate service fit. A referral is not appropriate when the situation requires continuous nursing coverage, a Licensed Home Care Services Agency or Certified Home Health Agency, personal care aide or home health aide services, hospice or palliative care program enrollment, home infusion or IV therapy administration, coordination of multiple clinicians or supervision of staff, or emergency/urgent clinical intervention.
Emergencies
For emergencies, call 911. HVPN does not provide emergency services and is not available for urgent or life-threatening situations. For urgent medical concerns, contact the treating provider directly.
